Miss Hope Pin-Up Contest

HCPC has made the tough decision to cancel the majority of the 19th Annual Hope Heritage Festival due to the pandemic.  We are still going to have a few events on Saturday evening that will allow us to follow all guidelines.  Unfortunately, the Miss Hope Pin-Up Contest has been cancelled.  But we are doing a Cruise Main on the evening of September 12, 2020.  Please keep checking the website for more information!

We apologize for the inconvenience but hope that you will keep us in mind for next year's Hope Heritage Festival!  It will be held on September 11, 2021.  Thank you for your patience and understanding.

    There is a $20 non-refundable entry fee.

    Payment options:  
        1.  Pay direct through PayPal, at darla.depaine@gmail.com ($1.00 processing fee will apply through PayPal.)
        2.  Mail in a check to:  HCPC, PO Box 67, Hope, KS  67451

    20% of funds will go to the American Heart Association.  All entries must be received no later than September 1, 2020.

    You will be asked 1 question during the contest.  you will also be asked to give yourself a short introduction at the beginning of the contest.

    By clicking on the submit button below you agree to NOT hold the Hope Community Projects Committee, Sunflower Pin-up, or the City of Hope and its volunteers responsible for any liability that may occur.

    You agree to allow your image to be used in promotional material.  You understand that there will be absolutely NO: Nudity, Swimsuit, Lingerie Worn as Outerwear or Inappropriate outfits as this is a family event.  Participants will be disqualified for any violation of contest rules.

    ​There will be no "giving" spots away if you cannot make it.  Your entry fee will not be refunded and your spot will be resold.


    You are certifying that you are at least 18 years of age and are eligible to participate in the contest.

Miss Hope Pin-Up Event Information:

Thank you for your interest in the 3rd  Annual Miss Hope  Pin-up Contest at the Hope Heritage Festival Car Show September 12 2020.   As a reminder, this is a vintage pin-up contest.  Required dress is 1920’s-1960’s fashion, hair and make-up.  As a participant, you will be judged on appearance, car show interaction and stage presence. NO Nudity, Swimsuits, and Lingerie Worn as Outerwear, Bare Mid-drift  or Inappropriate outfits will be allowed as this is a family event.  Participants will be disqualified for any violation of contest rules.

Listed below is a general order of events.  Please keep in mind that they are subject to change.

Order of Events:  Times are TENTATIVE.
9:00am-9:30am:  Check-In at Pin-up Table.  NO LATE CHECK INS.  There will be a brief Pin-up meeting at 9:30.am
 
9:45am-10:00am:  1st Stage appearance; Introduction of the Pin-up Contestants.
At this point, you will  introduce yourself.
 
10:00am-1:15pm:  Take photos, talk to car show participants and spectators.(You will be judged on car show participation.)   During this time you are encouraged to take photos and mingle with the crowd. You will also be responsible for collecting $1.00 votes for Miss Congeniality.  All proceeds will go to the American Heart Association.  The highest seller will receive a small reward.   More experienced ladies, please remember what your first show was like and help the less experienced.  This is about sisterhood as well.
 
1:15pm-1:30pm-Meet back at check-in for a group photo and final instructions. 
 
1:30pm- Line up for 2nd stage appearance.  Each contestant will be asked 1 question.  After each contestant has answered their question, they will exit the stage and pose in 3 different locations.  Once everyone is finished, the ladies will once again line up on stage and each contestant will appear on stage to re-introduce themselves while the judges make their decision.  All three places will be announced, starting with 3rd.

All participants will be invited to present awards for the car show.
